This 11-day Luxury photographic safari on the northern circuit of Tanzania, takes you to the most famous and incredible parks whereby you will visit all major parks which are Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. In Tarangire, you will be astonished by the large African elephants as well as the huge and ancient baobab trees. Ngorogoro crater will be the icing on the cake and the best place to visit the endangered black rhinos and Serengeti will be the major highlight of the tour where you will visit the northern Serengeti following the great migration on the mara river with your well-equipped cameras. You will sleep in luxury lodges with private showers.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT TO ARUSHA
Upon arrival at the airport in Arusha (ARK) or Kilimanjaro international airport (JRO), you will be met and welcomed by your representative from Gardenia African Safaris who will give you a short brief before you drive to your lodgings in Arusha for overnight.

DAY 2: ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at your Arusha hotel around 7:30 AM, you’ll depart for Arusha National Park. Enjoy a walking safari with an armed ranger from the Momella gate, exploring diverse habitats and experiencing wildlife up close. A highlight is hiking to Tululusia Hill for panoramic views.
After a picnic lunch, continue your game drive, spotting black and white colobus monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and various birds, including flamingos. In the evening, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at your Arusha hotel around 7:30 AM, you’ll depart for Tarangire National Park, a 2.5-hour drive away. Known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, the park spans about 2,603 square kilometers and hosts diverse wildlife, including lions, leopards, and over 500 bird species.
The Tarangire River, vital for wildlife, especially in the dry season, gives the park its name, meaning “river of warthogs.” Enjoy lunch at a picnic site before an afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to your luxury lodge in Tarangire for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Early morning after having breakfast at your accommodation, you will proceed with your game drive in Tarangire National Park with hot lunch. After having lunch, you will finalize your game drive until late afternoon where you will drive back to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
If you prefer to have lunch at the lodge, it’s quite possible as we can arrange that for you.

DAY 5: KARATU TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at your lodge in Karatu around 7:30 AM, you’ll depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Known for its abundant wildlife, Serengeti covers about 14,763 square kilometers and is home to over 2 million mammals. The park is famous for the Great Migration, where more than a million wildebeests and 250,000 zebras traverse the plains, making it one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
With over 500 bird species and a diverse range of animals, including lions, leopards, and giraffes, the Serengeti offers stunning scenery from short grass plains to hilly northern regions. It can be visited year-round, but the best time is during the dry season from June to October.
Lunch will be served inside the park and afterwards, proceed with game viewing until the evening where you will drive straight to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: CENTRAL TO NORTH SERENGETI
After breakfast at your Serengeti accommodation, you’ll drive north to Kogatende, following the Great Migration. En route, you’ll enjoy game viewing, with chances to spot giraffes, buffalo, and elephants. The Serengeti is renowned for its annual migration, where vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes move in search of fresh grazing, influenced by rainfall patterns. From late July to September, the migration is typically found in the northern Serengeti as they cross the Mara River, providing a spectacle for both wildlife watchers and resident Nile crocodiles.
After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our partner tented camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7 & 8: FULL DAY GAME DRIVES ON NORTH SERENGETI
Early morning after having breakfast at your accommodation will start with an early morning game drive following the great migration. If you’re lucky enough you can spot predators hunting their prey as well as the majestic river crossing while hungry crocodiles wait their meal. Lunch will be served at a picnic site and after that you will proceed with your game drive until the late evening where you will drive to your accommodation for sinner and overnight stay.

DAY 9: NORTH SERENGETI TO CENTRAL SERENGETI
Early morning after having breakfast at your accommodation will start with an early morning game drive en-route to the central Serengeti at your accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

DAY 10: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO NGORONGORO CRATER TO KARATU
After breakfast at your Serengeti lodge, you’ll drive about four hours to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at a viewpoint for stunning views of the 600-meter-deep crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site with around 25,000 mammals and over 500 bird species, including flamingos. It’s known for endangered black rhinos and the Big Five. You’ll explore the crater, spotting zebras, wildebeests, and lions. Enjoy lunch at the Ngoitoktok picnic site by a hippo pool, then continue your game drive before heading to your Karatu accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 11: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK TO ARUSHA
After breakfast at your Karatu lodge, depart around 7:30 AM for Lake Manyara National Park, just an hour away. Known for its birdlife and tree-climbing lions, the park covers 325 square kilometers, featuring a shallow alkaline lake that attracts various migratory and native birds, along with elephants, giraffes, and zebras. Enjoy activities like forest hikes and walking safaris before a picnic lunch. Afterward, drive to Arusha for a farewell from Gardenia African Safaris. If you’d like to extend your stay or need transport to the airport, arrangements can be made.
