This 3-day camping safari on the northern circuit of Tanzania, takes you to the most famous and incredible parks whereby you will visit two parks which are Tarangire and Ngorongoro. In Tarangire, you will be astonished by the large African elephants as well as the huge and ancient baobab trees. Ngorogoro crater will be the icing on the cake and the best place to visit the endangered black rhinos. You will sleep in tents set on the ground with the crew and you will also have a private chef who will prepare all your meals.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT TO ARUSHA

Upon arrival at the airport in Arusha (ARK) or Kilimanjaro international airport (JRO), you will be met and welcomed by your representative from Gardenia African Safaris who will give you a short brief before you drive to your lodgings in Arusha for overnight.

DAY 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast at your Arusha hotel around 7:30 AM, you’ll be picked up by your driver guide for a 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Spanning about 2,603 square kilometers, the park is home to diverse wildlife, including giraffes, lions, and over 500 bird species. The Tarangire River is vital for both herbivores and predators, especially during the dry season. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your game drive until late afternoon, then head to your campsite in Mto wa Mbu for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

DAY 3: NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA

After breakfast at your Mto wa Mbu campsite around 7:30 AM, you’ll drive about an hour to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is 600 meters deep, and you’ll stop at a viewpoint before descending. Home to around 25,000 mammals and over 500 bird species, it’s one of the best places to see endangered black rhinos.

You can spot wildlife like zebras, wildebeests, and lions within the 20-kilometer crater, allowing for 5-6 hours of exploration. Enjoy a packed lunch at the Ngoitoktok picnic site, then finish your game drive before returning to Arusha. We can arrange an extra night in Arusha or transport you to the airport for your onward flight.
