This 5-day camping safari on the northern circuit of Tanzania, takes you to the most famous and incredible parks whereby you will visit all major parks which are Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro. In Tarangire, you will be astonished by the large African elephants as well as the huge and ancient baobab trees. Ngorogoro crater will be the icing on the cake and the best place to visit the endangered black rhinos, Serengeti National Park which has the largest concentration of wildlife and Lake Manyara National Park which is famous for the tree climbing lions and the birds’ population. You will sleep in tents set on the ground with the crew and you will also have a private chef who will prepare all your meals.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT TO ARUSHA
Upon arrival at the airport in Arusha (ARK) or Kilimanjaro international airport (JRO), you will be met and welcomed by your representative from Gardenia African Safaris who will give you a short brief before you drive to your lodgings in Arusha for overnight.

DAY 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at your Arusha hotel around 7:30 AM, your driver guide will take you on a 2.5-hour journey to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Covering about 2,603 square kilometers, the park is home to diverse wildlife, including giraffes, lions, and over 500 bird species.
The name Tarangire, meaning “river of warthogs,” underscores the Tarangire River’s role as a vital water source. You’ll have a picnic lunch around noon, followed by an afternoon game drive. Finally, you’ll exit the park and head to your campsite in Mto wa Mbu for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

DAY 3: NGORONGORO CRATER TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at your campsite in Mto wa Mbu around 7:30 to 8:00 am, you will head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a one-hour drive to the gate. The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is 600 meters deep. Before descending, you’ll stop at a viewpoint for a stunning view of the crater. The crater is home to around 25,000 mammals, over 500 bird species, and is the best place in East Africa to see the endangered black rhino. You’ll have lunch at the Ngoitoktok picnic site by a hippo pool, then continue your game drive before heading to your accommodation in the Serengeti.

DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO MTO WA MBU
After breakfast, you will start an early game drive in Serengeti National Park, famous for its vast plains and abundant wildlife. The park covers around 14,763 square kilometers and is home to over 2 million animals. It’s best known for the Great Migration, where over a million wildebeests and thousands of zebras and antelopes move across the plains. The park also has over 500 bird species and a variety of predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. After lunch at Naabi Gate, you will exit the park and head to your campsite in Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK TO ARUSHA
After breakfast at your campsite around 7:30 to 8:00 am, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park, a one-hour drive away. Known for its birdlife and tree-climbing lions, the park covers about 325 square kilometers, with most of it being the lake. Lake Manyara, a shallow alkaline lake, attracts many bird species, including flamingos, pelicans, and storks. You may also spot animals like lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and baboons. Located in the southwestern Rift Valley, the park offers activities like forest hikes, canoeing, and walking safaris. After lunch at a picnic site, you will drive to Arusha for a farewell. We can arrange an extra night in Arusha or transfer you directly to the airport for your flight.
