This 7-day midrange safari on the northern circuit of Tanzania, takes you to the most famous and incredible parks whereby you will visit all major parks which are Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. In Tarangire, you will be astonished by the large African elephants as well as the huge and ancient baobab trees. Ngorogoro crater will be the icing on the cake and the best place to visit the endangered black rhinos and Serengeti will be the major highlight of the tour where you will visit the northern Serengeti following the great migration on the mara river. You will sleep in midrange lodges with private showers.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT TO ARUSHA
Upon arrival at the airport in Arusha (ARK) or Kilimanjaro international airport (JRO), you will be met and welcomed by your representative from Gardenia African Safaris who will give you a short brief before you drive to your lodgings in Arusha for overnight.

DAY 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at your Arusha hotel around 7:30 AM, you’ll be picked up by your driver-guide for a 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, the park covers about 2,603 square kilometers and hosts diverse wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, lions, and over 500 bird species. The name “Tarangire” means “river of warthogs,” highlighting the importance of the Tarangire River for wildlife. After a picnic lunch, you’ll continue your game drive until late afternoon, then head to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: KARATU TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at your Karatu lodge around 7:30 AM, you’ll head to Serengeti National Park, passing through Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Serengeti, covering 14,763 square kilometers, is famous for its vast wildlife population, including over a million wildebeests and 250,000 zebras during the annual migration—one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
The park also boasts over 500 bird species and a variety of animals, including giraffes, hippos, and predators like lions and cheetahs. With diverse landscapes ranging from short grass plains to rocky hills, Serengeti is best visited during the dry season from June to October.
Lunch will be served inside the park and afterwards, proceed with game viewing until the evening where you will drive straight to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: CENTRAL TO NORTH SERENGETI
After breakfast at your Serengeti accommodation, you’ll drive to the northern part of the park, known as Kogatende, while enjoying a game drive en route. As you travel north, you’ll likely see giraffes, buffalo, and elephants.
The Serengeti is renowned for the annual Great Migration, where vast numbers of wildebeests, zebras, and antelope move in search of fresh grazing. The timing of the migration depends on rainfall patterns, with the herds typically crossing the Mara River from late July to September, providing a feast for the resident Nile crocodiles.
After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our partner tented camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE ON NORTH SERENGETI
Early morning after having breakfast at your accommodation will start with an early morning game drive following the great migration. If you’re lucky enough you can spot predators hunting their prey as well as the majestic river crossing while hungry crocodiles wait their meal. Lunch will be served at a picnic site and after that you will proceed with your game drive until the late evening where you will drive to your accommodation for sinner and overnight stay.

DAY 6: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
Early morning after having breakfast at your accommodation inside Serengeti, you will drive straight to Ngorongoro Conservation Area to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Meal: Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
DAY 7: NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is 600 meters deep. You’ll stop at a viewpoint for breathtaking views before descending. The crater is home to around 25,000 mammals and over 500 bird species, including migratory flamingos, and is the best place in East Africa to see the endangered black rhino. Wildlife sightings include zebras, wildebeests, and lions within the 20-kilometer diameter. After a packed lunch at the Ngoitoktok picnic site, famous for its hippo pool, you’ll finish your game drive before ascending the crater and returning to Arusha.
